Parlor Doughnuts, the Indiana-born chain built around a proprietary layered doughnut format, opens at 430 West Bay Drive in Largo on Saturday, May 23, with doors at 8 a.m. — the brand's Tampa Bay debut, per the operator's Instagram.

The concept launched in Indiana in 2019 and has since expanded to markets across the country. The brand describes itself on social media as one of the fastest-growing donut shops in the country, though its precise location count was not confirmed in available sources. The Largo opening is framed by the operator as its introduction to the Tampa Bay market.

The anchor product is the trademarked Famous Layered Doughnut — a proprietary format the brand distinguishes from conventional ring doughnuts: buttery dough fried crispy on the outside while staying light and fluffy inside. The menu rotates daily. Flavors currently listed by the operator include strawberry shortcake, raspberry pistachio, turtle cheesecake, cookies and cream, and maple pecan.

The program extends well past pastry. The Largo location will serve signature coffee, breakfast sandwiches, toasts, and breakfast tacos. Prominent on the menu is a donut sandwich built with bacon, egg, and cheese — a format that positions the shop closer to a full breakfast counter than a specialty bakery. The operator also lists vegan, gluten-friendly, and keto options.

The grand opening runs from 8 a.m. Saturday at the West Bay Drive address. No additional Tampa Bay locations have been announced, but if the chain sustains the expansion pace it claims, this market debut is unlikely to be its last.
