Supernatural Food & Wine is opening a production facility in Tampa's West River neighborhood and has launched a sourdoughnut subscription service with home delivery, per the operator's Instagram.
The West River space will anchor production of the shop's signature cinnamon-sugar sourdoughnut — made with 100% sourdough leaven and a 24-hour fermentation process — and will carry limited on-site retail. The expansion moves production for the existing Tampa shop into a dedicated facility; the original location was not named in the announcement.
The subscription service, already live, starts at a half-dozen sourdoughnuts with home delivery available for $15. The 24-hour fermentation process is central to the product — slow, leaven-only technique that distinguishes these sourdoughnuts from conventionally yeasted doughnuts.
West River sits northwest of downtown Tampa along the Hillsborough River, a corridor that has drawn developer interest as infill residential and mixed-use projects have taken shape nearby. A production-anchored footprint with limited retail fits the area's light-industrial fabric.
No opening timeline for the West River facility has been announced. The subscription service is already live; the production space's limited retail component will add an additional consumer access point for the brand once it opens.
